DRV-305 LED Driver

A 3 channel DMX or 9600 baud serial controlled LED driver.

Designed for use with Common Cathode RGB LED strips, or 3 channels of single colour LEDs, this product allows for simplified control.

9600 baud Serial Control

It has a built in fade engine making it easy to request the unit to fade from a simple control system without having to worry about sending constant level commands.

The units are addressable when in serial mode to allow up to 16 units to be daisy chained together and then controlled as individual units, or addressed as a group. Ideal for Fade to Black or Panic states where you need quick control of a series of fittings.

A simple three channel chase can also be triggered over the serial link allowing a eye catching display to be created, but still allowing individual channel addressing if required.

You may notice we refer to serial control as 9600 baud mode. This is because the unit can operate with both a RS232 or a RS485 serial input. How’s that for flexibility !

Built in Stand-Alone Chase

A built in variable speed chase can be enabled from the front panel. Speed for the chase can be set from fast to almost glacial, making the unit ideal for stand alone operation in displays or show windows etc.

Tough Powder coated steel enclosure

We know gear is not always treated with respect, so we took our 16 bit microprocessor and wrapped it in a steel shell. We then powder coated it in bluecog blue.

Front panel mimic LEDs show you what’s happening at all times. A Data led shows DMX rate or Serial packets when in 9600 mode. Output mimic LEDs show the levels that the output channels are currently at and lastley a Power LED shows its plugged in !

FAQ
When in serial mode I cannot control the channels. They flash on then channel 2 is controlled.

A. Check dip address is set to 1. If you leave all the switches off the unit enters a special debug mode. This will be corrected in a future firmware release.
