Description
B3-CMIC 2 Channel CISCO mic interface Box
Correct PICTURE COMING SOON!!
If you have ever had to install a Cisco codec then you would know all about the supplied mics and their cable. Its super tinsel cable that is almost impossible to terminate. It also uses 4 pole mini jack connectors. This box allows you to simply extend the mic cabling without cutting or joining or doing anything else that may be an additional point of failure. It also means that if you have to swap the mics out for any reason its a simple unplug rather than a complete snip and start again.
The unit has 2x 4 pole minijack sockets connected to 2x 4 way mini Phoenix connectors. This gives any easy way to break out the wiring to a 4 core screened cable or even a CAT5 (not recommended however as that screened cable is screened for a reason !)
So now that you have you 2 lovely mic leads supplied by the above box, your going to need to get them into the codec somehow. This box makes it easy at the other end as well.
By selecting the B3-CMIC-C version you get 2x 3.5mm 4 pole extension cables and a connection interface box to allow you to terminate your audio flying leads and convert them back to a 4 pole connector, then connect them straight to the codec.
The cables are 250mm long allowing the interface box to be place above or beside the codec. The plugs are colour coded and heatshrink labelled.
This allows your installers to install and terminate fully while the codec is on order.
